So after digging around for a while and trying to find a decent offshore host for a project that needed to stay out of DMCA’s reach, I thought I’d share a bit of my experience in case it helps someone else.
I’ve tested a few names that get tossed around here—some were solid, some were just hype. Recently, I tried out a lesser-known one called QloudHost. Didn’t really have any expectations going in, but I’ve been running a small site with them for a couple of months now and figured it’s worth mentioning.
Here’s my honest take:
Setup was clean and pretty fast. Got my VPS running within an hour.
Servers are based in the Netherlands, and performance has been decent—no major slowdowns or downtime so far.
They claim to be DMCA ignored, and from what I’ve seen, they’ve stayed true to that. I had a test file up that usually gets flagged elsewhere, and it’s still up without any noise.
Support is alright. Not the fastest in the world, but not ghosting me either. They usually get back within a day and actually help rather than just sending canned replies.
Price-wise, it’s reasonable—not dirt cheap, but not overpriced either.
Not trying to promote anything here, just dropping some feedback from a real user. If you’ve already got your go-to offshore host, cool—but if you’re still hunting, might be worth checking out QloudHost quietly.
Curious if anyone else has tried them or has a different experience?
